1% of net revenue, every year
A fixed share of what DiveHive earns goes to people who protect and study reefs. It does not depend on a good year, and it does not come out of what shops or divers pay.
How the pledge works
A fixed share, a plain rule for dividing it, and a public record.
What counts as net revenue
Net revenue is what DiveHive earns from its plans, after payment fees and tax.
- Worked out yearly. The share is calculated on the full year and paid once a year.
- Not charged on top. Shops and divers do not pay extra for it.
How the split works
The 1% is divided among partners by programme activity: the more a programme does on DiveHive, the larger its part.
- Activity is recorded. Cleanups, surveys and other conservation activity are logged through partner programmes.
- One rule for all. The same rule applies to every partner.
Who qualifies
Conservation partners on the platform: verified organisations, marine park managers and research groups with a programme on DiveHive.
- Checked first. DiveHive reviews each organisation before it becomes a partner.
- Named once signed. A partner appears here only after an agreement is signed.
The yearly public report
After the first full year, DiveHive publishes a report on what it paid, to whom, and what the programmes did with it.
- Open to everyone. Anyone can read it, with no sign-in.
- Only what was recorded. Amounts and activity totals come from the platform’s own records.
Joining 1% for the Planet, maybe later
Joining the official 1% for the Planet network is a possible later step. It is not part of the pledge today.
- Not decided yet. If it happens, this page will say so.
- The pledge stands alone. The 1% is paid with or without any network.
